With a 5.0-liter V-8 making 467-horsepower, the 2016 GS F is Lexus's entry into the super sedan segment long dominated by cars like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, and Cadillac CTS-V.

Achtung, BMW! The Lexus GS F is fresh off the boat from Japan, and here for a slice of the super sedan pie.

Meet the 2016 Lexus GS F, Japan's answer to high-horsepower V-8 monster luxury sedans like the iconic BMW M5, the tire-murdering Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, and the USA-tastic Cadillac CTS-V.

With 467-horsepower and 389 lb.-ft. of torque from its 5.0-liter V-8 and four doors, the GS F poses the question: what more car could you ever really need?

Utilizing an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Lexus's clever torque vectoring differential (TVD) also found in the formidable RC F coupe, along with a stronger chassis and suspension components, the GS F looks to be as exciting in the bends as it will certainly be in a straight line.

While the GS F is about 90-horsepower down on the mighty M5, it also sheds 300-pounds compared to the Bavarian beast, so performance should be hair-splittingly close.

The GS F will make its international debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit this week, and we'll be there to cover all of the can't-miss cars on the show floor this year.
